Real estate transactions are complicated legal matters; so much so that the Supreme Court of Georgia stated that the transactions must be handled by an attorney licensed to practice law in Georgia. (See: In re UPL Advisory Opinion 2003-2, 277 Ga. 472, 588 S.E.2d 741, (2003)).
The Georgia Superior Court Clerks’ Cooperative Authority (GSCCCA), in conjunction with the Superior Court Clerks of Georgia, has created a Filing Activity Notification System (FANS). This is a free, consumer-friendly process which notifies property owners, from the date of registration, regarding any filings made related to their registered property. FANS will also notify the property owner of filing activity related to personal property, liens and/or plat filings.
Citizens may simply register with an email address or telephone number. After submitting a name, the user will receive an email and/or text notification whenever a filing related to that name is filed in the selected records. For more information, please visit: fans.gsccca.org.
When you buy a home, whether it is your first or your tenth, you need to be certain that all is in order concerning the transaction. The contract for the purchase must be accurate and legally correct; and all documents and procedures associated with the finalization of the transaction must also be accurate and legally sound.
For the vast majority of people, their home is their largest investment; and they certainly do not want to find out after the fact that there is a problem with the title to the home. Our firm will do everything legally necessary to make sure that the home you are about to purchase has a good and marketable title.

A contract is an agreement between two or more parties that, when signed, becomes legally binding. Legally binding means that the terms of the contract must be adhered to or there will be legal consequences. These consequences often result in paying compensation to the other party for services not fulfilled.
Contracts are an essential part of life in both personal and business transactions. Businesses make contracts with suppliers, retail establishments and their clients. Individuals make contracts with their employers, with businesses, and even among family members.
A contract is something that should be taken seriously, from its creation to when it is signed. We recommend that all contracts are carefully reviewed by an attorney before execution to ensure that it is in your best interest.
If you have entered into an agreement with an individual or a business and they are in breach of the agreement, you are obligated to protect your interests, even if this were to include filing a lawsuit to enforce the contract. Our experienced attorneys will be able to help you fight your case and force compliance of the contract and/or secure proper and just compensation.
Our firm also offers many other business related services that may be beneficial to you personally or to your company. In addition to contract creation and resolution services, as noted above, we offer business creation, estate planning, and all forms of civil litigation.
