WEIDNER LAW FIRM is the successor law firm to OLIVER & Weidner. It was formed after our law partner, William “Bill” Oliver, was appointed as a Superior Court Judge for the Mountain Judicial Circuit (Habersham, Rabun, Stephens, and Banks counties)  by Governor Brian Kemp in December 2022.

OLIVER & WEIDNER was formed on January 1, 2006 when Bill Oliver and Jim Weidner began practicing law together. Judge Bucky Woods, retired Chief Judge of the Superior Court for the Mountain Judicial Circuit, joined the firm in January 2010; and then former Congressman Doug Collins joined the firm in February 2021. Jessica Barrett joined the firm in Janaury 2026.

Bucky Woods fully retired from the practice of law in November 2023; and Doug Collins was appointed Secretary of Veterans Affairs by President Donald J. Trump in November 2024 and was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on February 4, 2025.
